Seachios® Completes Cargo Holds Cleaning on M/V KM Shanghai During Voyage

On October 8th, 2024, Seachios® Marine Services successfully completed an in-transit cargo holds cleaning on the bulk carrier M/V KM Shanghai (IMO 9479333) during its voyage from Praia Mole to Paranaguá. The vessel, flying the Liberian flag and measuring 225 meters in Length Overall (LOA), had just discharged a shipment of metallurgical coke (metcoke) at Praia Mole.

The clearance process in Praia Mole was swiftly and efficiently managed by Lachmann Shipping Agency in Vitória, ensuring no delays. Our team boarded the vessel at 09:00 (UTC -3), and by 16:00, the cleaning operation was underway while the vessel sailed towards Paranaguá. This allowed the cleaning to be completed without disrupting the ship’s schedule, demonstrating Seachios® Marine Services’ ability to conduct time-sensitive operations during navigation.
